Since I'm with Team Yokomo now, the choice is rather obvious. I once had a DIB before, when I went to YIDM 2012 in december. It was a great experience. But, I had ARD at the moment, so I gave DIB to my teammate.
Now, It's time to build my own. DL DIB
Nothing new really happened during the build. It's all the same as before.

I have been building a lot of DIB's and RS's for my customers lately, and what I figured, is that to build shocks first is somehow easier and more relaxing.
I wanted to have 2 sets of shocks so I don't need to refill the oil every time I need to change the setting. Also, it will help me to clearly understand the effect of oil.
For easy filling, I made a custom shock stand. Useless plastic bowl turned out to be very useful!
With the shocks to go with, I had amazing Vertex springs, which are very soft.
Also, I had an idea of anodizing all of my blue parts into a more sophisticated color - white.
All parts were packed up and ready to go. The problem was, no one knew exactly, what materials were used for these parts. So, no one could guarantee me the pure white look.
I heard, that "chalk" white anodizing is hard to achieve, but it is not impossible.
Turned out, "white" usually means "clear". So, after a man promised me "pure" white finish, like it was spray painted, this is what he gave me. Just a net silver matt finish. Cool, but not cool enough.
Several other people told me, that it is ass good, as it may get. So I thought, white anodizing can wait for better times.
To complete the blue theme - I used translucent PS spray to pain the carbon. I could have used the film, but trying the spray is much funnier. THe result is great. PS sticks well, but is easily scrathcable.
A lot of blue.
And here is the finished chassis. It's just stock for now, but already running great. This one is to have H2riku setup, Bagi suspension and a few more mods.
Short Li-po is a choise for me now. They add more weight to the back, making the back easier to throw. Also, I don't need a ESC mounting plate to change the battery. Very practical.
How does the PS holds up? I'd love to do that to my sakura.
