Evil Empire RCdrift Championship, stage one

We spent almost a complete year without any championships or tournaments. Nobody seem to be interested in testing their skills (If there were any) on the track. Instead we just drift wherever we can in small groups of up to 10 people and don't know about other groups like us. That's not a proper hobby family.

Anyway, Evil Empire drift team, which is a 1:1 drift team with rather good drivers, was kind enough to support us and make a test event, called EERCDC. It was not anything around "WOW", but we were very happy to compete against each other and, finally, meet our colleagues from Moscow, which was a big surprise for us.

Despite some organizational issues, we managed to make something out of it. Battles and body contest came in handy.
We had a lot of spectators this time.

It is a great shame for me that we have to judge the couple drift not by how great the ride was, how close was the second rider to the first one, and how much angle did both of them had, but by someone at least NOT hitting a wall or the opponent. Still, 10% are trying to win by breaking in front of you, causing you to crash. Almost half of participants don't know how to set up the chassis and get really surprised that if car ran great on asphalt, it doesn't run on carpet at all.

Anyway, Fun is most important factor for us now, and there are definitely a lot of fun.

Especially when I (Yellow S14) was battling  Eugene (pink Aristo) from Moscow (basically, 2 best drivers from 2 cities). Loosing to him, i got only to the third place, being the only one on Podium from my city. Moscow guys crashed us. Now it's time for a revenge.

I will post more pictures and videos as soon as they appear online.
